Recent 'Work' Project

Here are some pictures of a recent project I finished for a very small clinic in Bellevue.

The main wall is a grooved wood product with a metal finish...it if a very cool material! Maybe I will someday have another client willing to spend a ton of money on one wall!

Where does the time go?

Things have actually started to slow down at work, and you would think I would have plenty of time to blog, but no!! Between watching my “must sees” including Brothers and Sisters, Friday Night Lights, Grey’s Anatomy, ER, The Office, Desperate Housewives, and Damages, and meeting friends for drinks and/or dinner, I just don’t seem to have the time!!! I have definitely found the time for a little self pampering over the past couple weeks including a haircut (a new floppy curly thing going on on my head), an eye brow wax (I think my high school uni-brow was working itself back onto my face!), a facial (hands down, the best facial I have ever had!), and a free massage (courtesy to my friend, Melissa!) It was a tough summer; I have some how justified in my head that I deserved this level of personal time and expense!

Back to where has time gone….did you know that “Tickle me Elmo” has been around for 10 years? 10 years! Can you believe it? (I just saw a commercial on TV celebrating the anniversary.) Where were you 10 years ago? Here is a little recap of 1997 from Wikipedia….the Dow Jones closed above 7,000 for the first time, the Green Bay Packers had won the Super Bowl, “As Good as it Gets” won the Oscar for Best Picture, the term “blog” was coined, and my sister was pregnant with my niece and nephew (well, techinically that last one can not be found on Wikipedia!) I was in my 2nd year of architecture school, building a ramp and entry for a recently disable women in West Fargo. I wonder if that ramp is still standing and if the roof of the entry has kept the rain out over these years? (The roof was made out of part of an abandoned school bus!) (Natalie…you should drive by sometime and take some pictures for me!)
